DoEAT (Department of Ecological Authoring Tactics)

DoEAT has done site specific performances, installations, and interventions in galleries as well as in public spaces. Our work comments on environmental regulation, corporate agribusiness, governments, and patents that control access to the resources of the planet.

At SPECFLIC, DoEAT will present a quasi-gourmet buffet prepared with produce found in supermarket dumpsters and served as a graphic realizing statistical data related to the food . From the places the products were collected to the way they are re-inserted into the circuit of nutrition possibilities, a new chain of meaning is established, thus inscribing the information embedded within the food into the very bodies of the audience participants.
